Biodun Fatoyinbo: Dakolo’s rape file abandoned – Segalink claims

2 Min Read

Amid several rape crimes currently rocking Nigeria, Segalink has accused Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) of abandoning the rape file of Busola Dakolo who levelled allegations of sexual assault against Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.

The Herald recalls that Busola Dakolo claimed she was raped by popular Pastor Fatoyinbo of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA). She made the claims during an explosive interview on YNaija.

Dakolo through her legal counsel, Segalinks charged Fatoyinbo to court. The rape allegations attracted nationwide attention as the twoptwo involved were both public figures.

However, Segalinks has accused DPP of keeping mum on the findings tendered by CID after they submitted concluding investigations on the alleged rape.

Segalinks who made the accusation via his verified Twitter account has called on well-meaning Nigerians to join him in questioning the DPP on why the  agency  was yet to take action despite the relevant information at their disposal.

@segalink tweeted

“The @PoliceNG criminal investigation department has concluded their findings on the Busola Dakolo Vs Biodun Fatoyinbo case and have sent the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation since last year and nothing till today has been heard ever since. 🚨

“They failed to manipulate the investigation at the Police end like they almost succeeded at the civil suit with huge bribes. We implore all well meaning CSOs @EiENigeria @citizen_gavel @RulaacOrg @SIAF_NG @HerStoryOSNG @WARIF_NG @MirabelCentreNG to demand accountability from DPP.

“We hope the case file will not be tampered with as this will be the undoing of the forces hoping to reinforce the culture of rape in the Nigerian society. We won’t let this be our legacy to our children. Justice must be served. #EndRapeCulture 🚨 ”
