Boko Haram – Kidnapped CAN Chairman Speaks From Captivity

Reverend Lawan Andimi, Chairman of Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) Adamawa chapter, who was kidnapped by Boko Haram insurgents, has appealed to Adamawa state governor to negotiate his release.

Rev Andimi was abducted on Thursday, Jan 2, 2020 following an attack in Michika, a community in Adamawa state.

In a two minutes video, Andimi said the insurgents were treating him well since he was taken into captivity. According to him, blankets were among other items provided for his comfort.

Andimi who still strongly trusts God for his release,  admonished family, friends and well-wishers not to cry.

He said God who made the insurgents treat him well, will also ensure he is released.

The District Head of Michika, Ngida Kwache told the state Deputy Governor, Crowther Seth the event that led to Andimi’s capture.

“The pastor was abducted the day Boko Haram attacked our community. He was last seen when the suspected insurgents forced him into a Toyota Hilux. Since then, we have not heard from him or his abductors,”
