Renowned Nigerian comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma, popularly known as Bovi, recently revealed that three actresses approached him with marriage proposals during the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF). Despite the surprising offers, the comedian turned them down, citing the associated responsibilities.
Bovi shared this revelation on his Instagram page on Sunday, along with photos and videos from the AFRIFF event. He wrote, “Last night @afriff 3 actresses offered me marriage for a year. I turned them down because the offers came with responsibility.”
The comedian’s disclosure sparked reactions, with actress Sharon Ooja playfully responding by positioning herself as the new bodyguard for Bovi’s wife, Kris Asimonye. She pledged to handle the admirers if they approach the couple in the streets.
Bovi, known for his wit and humor, did not specify which actresses made the proposals, leaving fans curious about the unexpected turn of events. The comedian has been married to Kris Asimonye since 2009, and the couple recently renewed their vows in a romantic beach ceremony.
