The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, is in America on a 10-day visit despite rumours that she could not travel to the United states due to an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
The arrival of Mrs Buhari at the Dulles International Airport in Washington DC, caused a lot of excitement as many came to receive the First Lady.
According to the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC, Mrs Buhari arrived on a British Airways flight from London on Wednesday the 3rd of August.
The First lady is set for a slew of meetings and events some of which are the bilateral meetings at the George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia; the 25th Anniversary celebration of Zumunta Association USA Inc; the United States Institute of Peace in collaboration with Voice of America media organisation.
This might well put an end to speculation that the First Lady would be unable to travel to the United States, allegations levelled by controversial Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose.
