Following the leadership tussle which has crippled academic activities on Obafemi Awolowo University campus, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a new Vice Chancellor for the institution.
Recall that the president some weeks ago ordered the dissolution of the University’s governing council headed by Prof. Ndoma Egba based on claims that the appointed Vice chancellor, Prof. Ayobami Salami, was imposed on the school.
President Buhari has however approved Professor Elujoba of the department of Pharmacy as the institution’s new Vice Chancellor.
According to reports, the announcement was met with joy and jubilation across the University.
