Buhari, Atiku condole Wamakko over wife’s death

President Muhammadu Buhari and the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar have sympathised with a former Governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko over the death of his wife, Hajiya Atika.

In a condolence message released on Monday, the president described Hajiya Atika’s death as “a deep pain to handle”.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I received the news of your wife’s demise. The loss of a woman who was a significant part of your life, being the mother of your children, is particularly a deep pain to handle.

“As you mourn the death of your dear wife, I send you my heartfelt sympathy over this irreparable loss. May Allah forgive her shortcomings and reward her good deeds with aljanna. May Allah comfort you and members of your family and grant you the emotional strength to overcome this great loss. Amin,” the condolence message read.

In similar vein, Atiku said, “I received the report of the passing away of Hajiya Atika Wamakko, the beloved wife of Sen. Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, with sadness.

“On behalf of my family, I express my deepest condolences to the former governor of Sokoto and his family. I pray that the Almighty will forgive her sins and grant her Aljannah Firdaus.”
