President Muhammadu Buhari has in clear terms stated that there will be no referendum as regards the issue of Biafra and its agitators.
The president foreclosed the chances while speaking at the end of his visit to the United States for the 71th United Nations’ General Assembly.
Buhari, during a media event in New York stated clearly that the only choice left for Biafran agitators is to pool themselves and their supporters to form a political party that would see to advancing their interest within the Nigerian Democratic setting.
The president’s move comes days after he sent a powerful message through the Youth Corps members who visited him at his Daura home during the Eid-El-Kabir celebration.
During the visit, Buhari urged the youth corps members to tell their friends to forget and abandon the call for Biafra.
