Buhari Is Mr “Inconclusive” – Fayose

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has condemned the declaration of gubernatorial election in Bayelsa State as “inconclusive”.

He decried the situation in which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) “under Buhari’s kinsman, Prof Mahmood Yakubu” were inconclusive, making reference to the November 21 gubernatorial election in Kogi State, the first under Prof. Yakubu, which was declared inconclusive.

In a statement through his Special Assistant on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, Fayose accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of attempting to rig the election in Bayelsa, a move he described as a “clear invitation to anarchy”.

“If in three days, INEC could not conduct credible election in Bayelsa State of just eight local governments, one wonders what will happen during the general elections in 2019?” he said.

Furthermore, the governor congratulated the Bayelsans for conducting themselves properly, wondered how APC could hope to win a governorship election in a state of eight local government areas with victory in just one of the local governments.

“The people of Bayelsa have shown that their power is more than that of the Abuja political oppressors,” he said.

“Now that they have failed in their bid to use one local government to rig themselves to power, they will surely go back to their evil drawing board to plan fresh assaults.” Fayose added.

He stressed: “Therefore, Bayelsa people must henceforth sleep with their two eyes open because the APC thieves come not only to steal, but to kill and that can be seen in the way and manner they murdered over 20 people just because they wanted power at all cost.”

“Nigerians, especially we in Ekiti State, are already taking a cue from the Kogi and Bayelsa States’ experience and are getting prepared for future elections.”
