Embattled Senate President Bukola Saraki has come out to reveal why he met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo

The pair met in Abeokuta, Ogun state, where Obasanjo resides and had a discussion before the Senate President zoomed off.

Saraki was said to have arrived at the meeting around 5:30pm in a Black Land Cruiser, the meeting was held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.

They talked for over an hour and according to the PUNCH, the Senate President emerged from the meeting at about 7:12pm

When he emerged from the meeting, he spoke to journalists briefly and explained why he was there, stating that it was to make up for not being available when the library initially opened last year.

“You know, I missed the official opening of the library and that is why I have decided to come and see the place and, honestly, it is beautiful.

“We are very proud of what he has done here.” he said of the visit.

Many speculate that this cannot be the only reason for the meeting and that the discussion must have also involved the happenings in the National Assembly especially with the defection of Saraki from APC to PDP.

He never answered this though as he drove off when questioned about this possibility.
