Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy confidently declared his unique status in the music industry, dismissing the notion of being part of the so-called ‘big 3.’ The City Boy crooner boldly expressed that there are only the ‘big 2’ and then himself, firmly establishing his individual prominence.

Speaking at a recent concert, Burna Boy proclaimed, “Next time anybody tells you about anything called the ‘big 3,’ tell them there’s only the ‘big 2’ and then, there’s Burna Boy.” His statement has ignited a wave of conflicting reactions among music fans, who are now divided on whom the afrobeats sensation might be referring to as the ‘Big 2.’

Burna Boy’s assertion comes after he made history in July 2023 by becoming the first African artist to sell out a stadium show in the United States. The ‘Last Last’ crooner achieved this remarkable feat by selling out the 41,000-capacity Citi Field Stadium in NYC, USA.
