The DisCo gave the assurance in a statement signed by its General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Godwin Idemudia, on Tuesday in Lagos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Federal Government and the Lagos State Government had directed civil servants from level 12 and below to work from home as part of efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The governments had also advised against any form of mass gathering following the rise of confirmed cases across the country to 42.
Idemudia noted that the company was doing everything possible to ensure adequate and stable power supply throughout the period of partial economic inactivity.
“EKEDC is aware that customers will spend majority of this period indoors; hence, the company is putting extra measures to ensure comfort of customers by providing stable power supply, ” he said.
He explained that EKEDC was among companies that plan to limit physical interaction by embarking on a COVID-19 temporary work plan.
According to him,  this will prohibit entry into offices for customers and reduce staff physical activities to essential units in the company.
Idemudia urged customers to utilise alternative means of interaction with the company such as emails, social media and customer complaint lines available on the company website www.ekedp.com.
He said that customers could pay their electricity bills via the website and third-party payment platforms.
Idemudia said faults and all forms of complaints would be resolved rapidly through these channels.
He also encouraged customers to practice social distancing, proper hygiene and take necessary measures to boost their immune systems in order to survive the pandemic.
