COVID-19: Lagos state discharges 10 patients

Babajide Sanwo-olu, Executive Governor of Lagos state has announced the discharge of ten COVID-19 patients who have tested negative to the virus after medical treatment.

Sanwo-olu who made the announcement via his verified Twitter account, urged citizens to practise great personal hygiene to avoid contracting the virus.

The Governor tweeted:  “Even with the number of cases rising, we are happy to celebrate our success stories because they show that a positive #COVID19 case isn’t necessarily a case of doom and gloom.

“Today, 10 patients – three females and seven males, including three foreigners have been discharged from our facilities.”

“We are encouraged by these discharged cases and the support we have received from the citizens of the state in the battle against #COVID-19 but I urge us all not to relent because it is imperative that we win.

“Remember to practice great personal hygiene and join our #MaskUpLagos campaign by using a facemask whenever you are in public.”

Lagos state as at April 23 has recorded 590 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 107 discharged patients and 18 deaths.
