The Netherlands has become the second country to recall defective medical kit bought from China to fight the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Spain had earlier recalled defective Chinese test kits from its hospitals as the death toll from COVID-19 hit the 4,000 mark.
Spain had ordered 640,000 rapid test kits from companies in China and South Korea. The first batch of 9000 however failed to work and had to be returned.
In the same vein the Netherlands ordered 600,000 masks for its hospitals from the Chinese.
The masks did not work and failed to meet specifications; they also had to be recalled.
The Netherlands currently have 9,762 Coronavirus cases with 639 recorded deaths.
