Cristiano Ronaldo Reacts to Zidane Stepping down

Yesterday the entire footballing world was shocked when Zinedine Zidane held a hastily organised Press conference to announce that he would be leaving Madrid.

The French tactician brought unprecedented success to the Bernabeu with 3 back-to-back Champions League wins and this shocking announcement comes just 5 days after picking up Europe’s foremost trophy.

Many of the players were surprised as Zidane revealed that Sergio Ramos was the only player with whom he shared his decision with personally.

Ronaldo whom Zidane moulded into an effective scoring machine despite his advancing years was quick to praise his former coach sharing an image Instagram with the caption: “I’m just proud of being your player, Mister, thanks for so much.”

Former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger and Mauricio Pochettino have been touted as possible candidates with the former Arsenal manager stating that he is already bored and wants to get back to management

“It’s exciting now because I can be tested again. That’s what I want in my life,” he told beIN SPORTS. “I’m a competitor who wants to be tested.

“I don’t know what will happen but I’m in front of an empty page and I have to write the next chapter.

“I’m not very gifted to enjoy life and lie on the beach. I envy friends of mine who can do that.

“Very quickly I’ve become bored because it’s an addiction I have created. I have the addicted gene and you have to live with it.”
