Dr. Jang, the Governor of Plateau state was quoted as saying he and Amaechi are not agemates, and he is old enough to be the duly elected Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum’s father.
The fact that the Nigerian political arena has warped into a theater of the absurd is no longer news to even the akara sellers in Kuru. Yesterday’s comments by the usurper Jang take the cake and are a testament to the fact that Nigeria’s leaders will take the piss on the wishes of the majority whenever and wherever they can.

Speaking to journalists at the sideline of the dinner organised by President Goodluck Jonathan to celebrate his mid-term in office, Mr Jang said he is old enough to be Mr Amaechi’s father. He said, “Amaechi is my younger brother, infact, I can say son because if you look at Amaechi’s age, I’m old enough to be his father.”

We have all seen the video of the elections, its on Youtube. You don’t need a rocket scientist to tell you Amaechi won. You don’t need a soothsayer to reveal the fact that Jonathan, Akpabio, Jang and the rest of their faction were bitter, embarrassed, betrayed and decided to hijack the Forum. You don’t need an European Union observer to tell you that nobody rigged and that PDP is sulking and being a sore loser.

You do however need a man after the order of Governor Jonah Jang to tell you that not only is he NOT playing politics with his football age, but that he is in fact older than the ancient of days.

Your excellency, the only thing Nigerians find excellent about your current display is its perfect insanity. A room should be opened somewhere in Yaba Left for you and the 14 or 15 governors that call themselves democrats. Maybe it is your age that has not allowed you to read the writing on the wall, or to hear the murmuring of the people, even as you allow yourself to be used as a stooge in the plot to divide the Governors ahead of 2015.

Nigeria needs old cargo politicians like yourself, Anenih and Tukur to retire for this country to move forward. We will pay your pension and gratuity gladly, just go.
