Delta policemen caught on video threatening to kill youths over N100 identified, detained

The Delta State Police Command says it has identified and detained some policemen shown in a viral video threatening to kill some youths in the state.
Command spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe disclosed this in a tweet on Friday.
A video shared on Twitter on Thursday by one @Rich_Dawg1 shows one of the policemen pulling out a knife and threatening to stab the youths.

The policeman, who has been identified as a constable, can also be seen tackling one of the youths to the ground while another of his colleagues flogged the victim with a cut pipe.
According to the poster, the policemen began assaulting the youths for refusing to part with N100 bribe.

Reacting to the video, Edafe shares a photo of three policemen involved in the incident.
He captioned the photo: The (erring) police officers have been identified and summoned to the police headquarters.
“The officer who brought out that knife is not a police officer but a Constabulary. They have been detained, and their orderly room trail will commence today,” he said.
