1. Revealing and skimpy clothes
You surely don’t want your coworkers and seniors to notice your revealing clothes instead of your skills. It is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional to wear skimpy clothes that stick to your body and highlight your shape. Showing your cleavage or wearing extremely short hem skirts or dresses will draw the wrong attention.

2. Heavy makeup
It is very important to be presentable, and also essential to wear smart clothes and complete the look with complementing accessories. Makeup is an integral part of the look but you don’t want to look like you are dressing up for a party rather than office. Go light on the makeup. It should be subtle and sober. It should help highlight your features without overdoing it. Go for subtle shades and light base makeup, a matte look would especially look great.

3. Too many accessories
It is a good thing to have a great collection of jewelry and other accessories. It shows that you have a good sense of style. But you need to keep in mind that even though you would like wearing a lot of jewelry and you like the bling, you cannot overdo it in an office. You need to wear jewelry that complements your outfit and looks minimalist. You must look presentable and professional.

4. Flip flops
It is not a compulsion to wear heels in order to achieve a smart look for office; you could opt for chic looking ballerinas. However, wearing flip flops to your office is a sin. The kind of impression it creates and the annoying sound that it makes is unacceptable. They give a very casual look and are not suitable to be worn in the office.

5. Loud colors and prints
If your style sensibility is bright and colorful, then you need use it minimally in your office wear. If you want to incorporate bright and neon colors in your look, then do so in the trims of your outfit or may be a statement scarf. Wearing loud and bold prints wouldn’t be a good option, instead opt for subtle colors and smaller prints.
