A 23-year-old lady, Firdausi Ahamadu, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) for threatening to set off a bomb on herself that will also kill some All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftains in Kano State.

The Public Relations Officer of the secret police, Dr. Peter Afunanya confirmed Ahamadu’s arrest on Tuesday.

He linked her arrest to a viral TikTok video in which she dared those she claimed were behind the victory of Yusuf Gawuna of the APC at the Kano State Gubernatorial Election Petition Tribunal to share their home addresses.

Recall that on September 20, incumbent Governor Abba Yusuf Kabir of New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) was sacked by a three-man tribunal.

In her video, Ahamadu wore a red cap synonymous with the Kwankwasiyya, a political movement of loyalists of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Governor Yusuf Kabir’s political godfather.

She threatened to bomb herself alongside Vice President, Kashim Shettima, whom she accused of influencing the tribunal judgement; the chairman of the election petition tribunal;  Gawuna; and an APC praise singer, Rarara.
