A parallel government in eastern Libya, which is allied with commander Khalif Haftar, will impose a 24-hour curfew for 10 days as part of preventive measures against the coronavirus.

According to a decision issued by the east-based government on Monday, the curfew will come into effect as of Wednesday until April 3.
No additional details on the curfew were given at this point.
There are currently no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Libya.
Libya has been in turmoil since the 2011 overthrow of Dictator Moamer Gaddafi and has become a battleground for rival proxy forces, which has drawn in foreign powers.
The North African country is currently divided between two administrations, a UN-recognised government based in the capital Tripoli and the other based in the eastern city of Tobruk and allied with Haftar, the head of the self-styled Libyan National Army (LNA).
