Popular media personality and reality TV star, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, recently opened up about his all-time favorite participants of the Big Brother Naija reality show during an interview on Channels TV’s Rubbin’ Minds, which is co-hosted by Beauty Tukura and Prince Nelson. As the host of the BBNaija show, Ebuka has a unique perspective, having been a housemate himself in the show’s inaugural season.
Ebuka revealed that his favorite housemates are those who managed to surprise him with their gameplay and strategies inside the house. He mentioned one standout participant from his own season, Gideon, who he described as amazing. Ebuka went on to explain that he often forms initial impressions of the contestants based on their profiles before the show starts. However, he is pleasantly surprised when some of them defy his expectations and bring a completely different game to the table. He even jokingly mentioned Beauty, one of the co-hosts, as an example of someone who surpassed his initial assumptions.
For Ebuka, drama is another factor that draws him to certain housemates. He mentioned Prince, the other co-host, and acknowledged the presence of a community that formed around him during his time on the show. While he’s unsure if Prince’s drama was intentional, it undoubtedly made for an entertaining viewing experience.
Additionally, Ebuka expressed his admiration for participants who approach the game strategically. He believes that coming into the show with a well-thought-out game plan is essential, considering the opportunity to win a substantial cash prize. He highlighted Pere as someone who initially displayed a strategic mindset but seemed to fade away after a confrontation. Ebuka also mentioned past contestants, such as Miracle and Tobi, who he admired for their consistent gameplay and engaging competition. However, he noted that they were also involved in romantic entanglements during their season.
