Eid-el-Kabir: Peter Obi hosts Anambra Muslim community

The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Wednesday hosted the Anambra Muslim Community at his residence in Onitsha, Anambra State to celebrate the Eid al Adha.

The former Anambra governor disclosed this in a tweet on Wednesday, sharing photos of the event.

Obi also presented monetary donation to the leadership of the Muslim communities in Onitsha and Awka.

“I also presented cheques to the leaders of Onitsha and Awka Muslim Communities, in fulfilment if my earlier promise of helping to renovate their respective mosques.

“The visit was a propitious moment to remind them, and indeed all Nigerians, that we can conquer the myriads of challenges facing us as a nation, if we unite as a people, and live above our tribal, religious and political differences.

“Nigeria is the only country we have and I remain committed to its peace, unity and progress.

“Finally, I wished them and our other Muslim compatriots happy Eid Mubarak!” Obi said.
