The National Security Adviser (NSA), Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd), says EndSARS protesters should stop pushing their luck and agree to dialogue with the government.

According to him, remaining adamant on non-negotiation could create unwanted issues for the protesters.

Monguno stated this while briefing journalists shortly after security chiefs had a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja on Thursday.

He said that the actions of the protesters were capable of creating  a bad impression about the nation to foreigners.

“The security agencies have been asked to apply as much restraint as possible. But then again, the youths should also understand that pushing their luck might also result in unwanted issues.

“So, it is very very important for everyone to take stock of what has already happened and not give a dark impression of this country to the international community,” Monguno stated.

His statement came two days after soldiers opened fire on unarmed protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos.
