Mr Blessed Ola-Saint,  the Founder of  Empower Africa Project,  has urged entrepreneurs to leverage on social media platforms to build a larger customer base and boost their businesses.

Ola-Saint, also the president of the project, spoke during the Zero to Wealth Tech Business Training Summit on Wednesday in Lagos.

The event was organised by Empower Africa Project (EAP).

He said that the world was becoming digital on a daily basis and that technology would continue to prove itself over conventional methods.

According to the founder, online space will give entrepreneurs the opportunity to deliver unparalleled service to their customers.

He noted that there was also the flexibility of communicating with customers through a  variety of channels such as social media.

“When you use digital platforms to market your products, you are sure of reaching more people for less cost and effectively get more customers.

“Being off-line is as good as being invisible these days as most customer purchases start with a quick online search,” he said.

Ola-Saint said that the Internet was like a market with unusual traffic, urging entrepreneurs to build a relationship that would scale up their businesses through it.

“Develop a website that is interactive. As soon as someone comes to your website, he or she should immediately be attracted to your page.

“Your website should be able to collect information about the potential customer that you can use in your business.

“The internet is not a separate technology any more. Today, it can integrate part of business; and the opportunities the web presents for most small businesses are extraordinary,’’ he said.

He advised entrepreneurs to leverage the power of the internet to build profits, save money and operate more efficiently.
