In the wake of the tragic demise of Nigerian music sensation Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, the entertainment industry mourns as two prominent Nollywood actors, Femi Adebayo and Toyin Abraham, pay their heartfelt tributes.
Taking to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, both actors expressed their sorrow over the loss of Mohbad, acknowledging his brief but impactful journey in the music industry. Mohbad, whose name translates to “Imole,” meaning “Light” in Yoruba, left a remarkable imprint with his music, showcasing resilience and artistry.
Femi Adebayo, in his tribute, reflected on the luminary musical brilliance that Mohbad brought to the world, emphasizing how his light illuminated the lives of many. Despite the tragic truncation of his life, Mohbad’s music stands as a testament to his enduring legacy.
Toyin Abraham, too, was deeply affected by Mohbad’s passing, unable to grasp the reality that he was no more. The death of Mohbad on Tuesday, followed by his burial in Ikorodu, Lagos, on Wednesday, has left a void in the music industry. Amidst the sorrow, controversies regarding the circumstances surrounding his untimely exit continue to circulate.
