BREAKING: Reps ban religious gatherings amid COVID-19 Pandemic

The House of Representatives has banned all forms of religious gatherings amid COVID-19 crisis which has ravaged the entire globe with a rising death toll of over 7,000 cases and 200,000 infected patients.

The Reps took this decision after the federal government reported 5 new confirmed Coronavirus cases on Wednesday morning.

Health experts have advised against public gatherings which could aid the quick spread of the disease.

In a bid to reduce the rate of contraction, House of Reps has banned open worships as it stated that religious nations such as Saudi Arabia, The Vatican and Iran have also done the same.

Visitors have also been banned from coming to the National Assembly.

Rep. Zakari Isa Chawai who commended the directive of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to shut down all orientation camps urged the public to keep away from public gatherings to prevent contraction of the dreaded Coronavirus.
