FG consoles Kano State govt. over death of 6 students, others

The Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has consoled the government and people of Kano State over the death of six secondary school students, their teachers andr driver in a motor accident.

A statement by Bem Goom, the Deputy Director, Press, Federal Ministry of Education on Friday in Abuja, said the accident occurred at the Lagos – Ibadan expressway on May 3.

The statement said the students were returning to Kano after representing the state in a nationwide competition.

“Malam Adamu, on behalf of the Federal Government expresses his deepest sympathy to the government and people of Kano State over the irreparable loss.

“His sympathy also goes to the parents, teachers, relatives and friends of the deceased students.

“He prays that God, in His infinite mercy, will bless the souls of the deceased with eternal bliss and give their parents and relatives the fortitude to bear this inconsolable loss,’’ the statement said. (NAN)
