FG declares Wednesday public holiday to commemorate Workers’ Day

The Federal Government has declared tomorrow, Wednesday, May 1, 2019, as a public holiday to commemorate the 2019 Workers’ Day.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), in a statement on Monday.

Dambazau, who congratulated Nigerian workers for their commitment and sacrifice, hailed their continued effort at ensuring the full implementation of the policies and programmes of the government “through efficient and effective service delivery to Nigerians and foreigners at large.”

The minister called for continuous support of Nigerian workers for “government’s effort at re-positioning the economy and moving it to the next level.”

While commending the workers for their continued trust in President Muhammadu Buhari administration, he “wishes all Nigerian workers a successful May Day celebration.”
