The Federal Government through the Chairwoman, Federal Civil Service Commission, FCSC, Deaconess Joan Ayo, has declared all irregular and unauthorised appointments into the Federal Civil Service null and void.
The declaration follows an on-going staff audit of the Federal Civil Service Commission which revealed some irregular and unauthorised appointees.
The FCSC spokesman, Dr. Joel Oruche noted that the ongoing audit is aimed at uncovering such illegality and delisting its beneficiaries from the Integrated Personnel Payroll Information System (IPPIS).
The spokesman quoted the FCSC Chairwoman to have said: “This action is necessary because the appointments are not backed by any vacancy from the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation and as such, were not budgeted for. Besides they are in gross violation of the Federal Character principle”.
The Chairwoman however declared that vacancies from the HCSF would soon be advertised while assuring that all qualified applicants will be given a fair opportunity to compete for the available slots.
