I Won’t Leave Barcelona For Triple My Transfer Fee – Suarez

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez has said he doesn’t feel he will be leaving the Catalan side in the nearest future, not even for triple his massive transfer fee of £75 million.

Suarez spoke on Thursday at an Adidas event to launch his new boots.

According to the Uruguayan striker, though he may not retire Barcelona, he would certainly stay for a long time.

He said: “Money wouldn’t make me leave Barcelona. I went through a lot to come here and I wouldn’t leave for triple the money. I won’t say that I’m going to retire here, but I want to be here for many years”.

Speaking about his strike partners Lionel Messi and Neymar, he said: “We’re happy with our stats, but there are always things that can be improved on. We’re realistic and we’re mindful that you never know what could happen in football”.

He also took time to comment on his FIFA Ballon D’Or snub, saying:  “I’m not angry about not being among the top three. I’m well aware of my prospects. I’m just really happy to be able to help the team and for two of my teammates to be among the finalists. I think Messi will win it and Neymar should come second without a doubt”.
