Former INEC Chairman Implicated In N23.9 billion Poll Bribery Scandal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, according to news reports from the Nation is gearing up to arrest a former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC over involvement in a N23.29 billion poll bribery scam.

The anti-graft agency, EFCC, is set to be arrest the former INEC boss for receiving bribes from top oil barons for the Presidential election.

According to the news agency, the EFCC has been trailing the former INEC boss for two weeks but he has managed to evade arrest.

Speaking on the issue, a source within the EFCC said: “Our operatives are still looking for him. We have put other security agencies on the alert.

“He is wanted in connection with the N23.29 poll bribery perpetrated by a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
