Buhari officially appoints Gambari as Chief of Staff

President Muhammadu Buhari has officially appointed Professor Ibrahim Gambari as his Chief of Staff.

Gambari’s appointment was announced by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha at today’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The Herald can report that the 75-year-old Ilorin Prince arrived the Presidential Villa at 10:53am.

He was said to have been received by senior Presidency officials including the Director of Protocol, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed and the Permanent Secretary State House, Mallam Tijani Umar.

Others include the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Foreign Affairs, Office of the Vice President, Amb. Abdullahi Gwari as well as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mallam Garuba Shehu who all ushered him into the Aso Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

It was further gathered that Permanent Secretary at the State House, Mallam Tijani Umar conducted him round the State House facilities mid-morning.
