Labaran Maku, Former Minister of Information has said that he is not going back on his ambition to become governor of Nasarawa State.

Maku made this statement while addressing members of different ethnic groups that paid him a visit in his country home, Wakama, Nasarawa State.

He said “It is the people of the state that called me to contest for governorship seat in order to rescue them and bring peace to the state, and I have answered their calls. But what went on in the primaries of our party, the Peoples Democratic Party, was uncalled for and everybody is aware of that. I want to tell you that there is no going back on my gubernatorial ambition come 2015.

“Those who are thinking that my political ambition is stunted should start having a rethink, my 2015 governorship ambition is still on course. I want to call on you to continue to support me and vote for me during the 2015 general election. When the victory comes, we will all celebrate together and I want to advise you not to give up on my 2015 gubernatorial ambition but to preach my gospel for governorship.”
