Gokada CEO, Fahim Saleh Found Dead, Body Dismembered In His New York Condo

Gokada founder, Fahim Saleh was found dead, with his body brutally dismembered in his New York apartment on Tuesday.

Tech entrepreneur Fahim Saleh was best known in Nigeria for his motorcycle-hailing company ‘GoKada’ and he was also a co-founder of ride-sharing venture Pathao.

New York police recovered the dismembered body from a building in the Lower East Side around 3:30pm local time, according to New York Daily News.

His sister found his body while visiting his apartment after she had not heard from him for a day.

She visited and found him headless while his body had been cut up and sorted into different plastic bags. A power saw which was still plugged in was also found in the apartment. She then called 911.

According to several reports, police believe they have surveillance footage of the suspect entering the building and then using the elevator.

An elevator surveillance camera may have caught the victim’s last moments, sources said. It shows the victim getting into the elevator on Monday, followed quickly by a second man, dressed in a suit, wearing gloves, a hat and a mask over his face.

As soon as he walked out into his home, Fahim Saleh fell to the floor after either likely being shot or stunned.

The police suspect that the murder was carried out by a professional.

Pathao Co-founder Hussain Elius has reacted to the shocking incident, saying: “We are shocked and saddened to hear the reports of the death of Fahim Saleh, one of the founding members of the Pathao team.

“Fahim believed in the potential for technology to transform lives in Bangladesh and beyond. He saw the promise in us, when all we had was a common purpose and a shared vision.  He was, and will forever remain, an incredible inspiration for Pathao and our entire ecosystem.”
