Gory sight as bus conveying intending Saudi pilgrims burns to ashes in Nasarawa

An 18-seater bus conveying Saudi Arabia-bound pilgrims from Nasarawa State to Abuja got burnt to ashes on Wednesday.

It was learnt that the accident occurred around Kara, Keffi Local Government Area of Nasarawa.

Shortly after the journey to Abuja commenced, the bus was said to have gone up in flames.

While no casualty was recorded in the accident, some occupants of the vehicle sustained varying degrees of injuries and were taken to hospital for medical attention, this newspaper gathered.

Neither the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria nor the Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has issued a statement on the incident as of press time.
