Liverpool ends the year with a time out against Swansea at Anfield on Monday 29th December.

A win will see the club draw points with Swansea although they’ll still be far on goal difference.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers hopes the team can put up a  fight to ensure a win.

The manager believes the Reds will up their game in the next few months so as to end up in the coveted top four.

Rodgers said: “For us the objectives are very much the same – we want to finish in that top four. We know there’s a long road but the points can whittle away very quickly.

“We’re seven points behind that but we’ll take each game as it comes and if we can keep this momentum going and keep the focus we can have a real good second half to the season.”
