An Army Major has reportedly died after his car caught fire while he was driving out of the Ojo Cantonment in Lagos on Tuesday.

The officer, who was identified as Major EN Efam, was driving out of the cantonment on Tuesday morning when his car hit a colleague’s car from behind, causing a fire in the major’s car, Vanguard reported.

The Delta State-born major, who was attached to Army Finance, was said to have become trapped in the car.

According to the report, some persons around the scene of the incident swamped on the burning vehicle with fire extinguishers to put out the fire.
