How FG Spent N3.1billion On ‘VIP Toilets’ Construction

The Federal Government has been reported to have spent between 40 and 50million naira on construction of toilets and bathrooms in each of the unity schools across the nation.

The amount according to Daily Trust report was spent on “VIP toilets” in the unity schools.

The news source further reported that the Federal Government had spent about N3.1billion on construction of VIP Toilets and bathrooms in 64 schools all between 2014 and 2015.

According to analysis of the spent N3.1 billion as contained in the budget, a total of N1.45 billion was spent on VIP toilets and bathrooms in 2014 while N1.64 billion was expended in 2015.

However, reports also showed that 6 of the unity colleges benefited from the program twice gulping an estimated 80 to 100 million naira.

They six schools are; Federal Government College (FGC) Sokoto, FGC Okigwe, Federal Government Girls’ College (FGGC) Bauchi, Efon Imnringi, Ezzamgbo Abakaliki and Ibillo.
