Hurricane Chris Indicted On Second-Degree Murder Charges

American rapper, Chris Dooley, popularly known as Hurricane has been indicted on second-degree murder charges for the death of Danzeria Ferris Jr., in Caddo Parish, Louisiana.

A grand jury has decided to move forward with charges against the 31-year-old rapper following a shooting at a Shreveport gas station that left one man dead.

The shooting happened in June at a Texaco in the Western Louisiana city. Police arrived at the gas station after a shooting was reported.

They found 32-year-old Danzeria O. Farris suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital we’re he later died.

“I’m sure you got the news by now. I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning, a very unfortunate incident,” he said after the shooting.

I wanna thank everybody who’s been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who’s been praying for my family. After a good, thorough investigation, my name will be cleared. Let God work. Watch God work. God bless. Thank you.”

Early reports from police at the time said Dooley shot Ferris thinking he was attempting to steal his vehicle, but police said in a news release that surveillance video “showed that Dooley did not act in self-defense.”

In addition to the murder charges, the rapper is facing charges related to the car in question.

According to authorities, the 2016 Mercedes Sedan at the heart of the shooting was registered in Texas to someone else. As such, he’s facing charges of illegal possession of the vehicle.
