In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Podcast, popular Nigerian singer Panshak Zamani, better known as Ice Prince, opened up about his personal experiences with Afrobeats sensations Wizkid and Burna Boy. The 36-year-old Hip Hop artist disclosed that both Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, and Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, had remarkably foreseen their monumental success in the music industry years before it came to fruition.
Ice Prince reminisced about a conversation he had with Wizkid a decade ago, where the now-global superstar had made a bold promise. According to Ice Prince, Wizkid assured him that he would achieve all the musical success he currently enjoys. At that time, Ice Prince admitted to harboring skepticism regarding Wizkid’s ambitious claim. However, as history has shown, Wizkid’s prediction has become a reality, leaving Ice Prince astounded by the accuracy of his fellow artist’s foresight.
Additionally, Ice Prince revealed that Burna Boy had similarly shared his visions of musical triumph. Burna Boy, known for his unique style and global acclaim, had spoken confidently about his future achievements, even though the path to success remained uncertain at the time.
Ice Prince expressed his awe and pride at witnessing the domestic and international triumphs of both Wizkid and Burna Boy. He emphasized the importance of faith, consistency, and divine guidance in achieving success within the vibrant Afrobeats genre.
