Following an early morning attack on his home, Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho has cancelled the mass rally scheduled for July 3 in Lagos.

He made the disclosure in a chat with BBC Pidgin.

Igboho accused the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigerian Army of orchestrating the attack that claimed two lives and led to destruction in his house and vandalisation of vehicles parked in the compound.

The affected house is located in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Yoruba activist said he was being targeted because he chose to fight for his people that are being raped and killed while the government allegedly does nothing to prevent it.
