Red hot Super Eagles striker,, Odion Ighalo has continued his impressive form in front of goal for Watford on Sunday as he scored twice in the 3-0 win over Liverpool as the BPL entered match day 17.

Ighalo scored the second goal of the Hornets as the Reds were put to the sword at Vicarage Road.

The attacker’s goal was a thing of beauty as he received a Troy Deeney pass before shrugging off Martin Skrtel and slotting past Adam Bogdán on the quarter hour.

Ighalo should have doubled his account on 63 minutes when he sped past the Liverpool backline but saw his shot from point-blank range beaten out by Bogdán.

He eventually got his well-deserved second goal in the 84th minute as he planted an emphatic header off a perfect Valon Behrami cross.

The win was enough to lift Watford to seventh on the Barclays English Premier League standings with 28 points from 17 matches.

Ighalo will also look back at Sunday’s game with fondness as his strikes represented his 11th and 12th league goal of the season.

He was substituted moments after he scored to a standing ovation from the home faithful.
