Imo’s Hope Uzodinma Recalls 3500 Sacked Workers

The Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has recalled 3,500 civil servants sacked by the previous administration.

The State Governor, installed by a judgement of the Supreme Court approved the appointment letters of the recalled civil servants on Friday the 13th.

Governor Uzodinma also ordered that all renumeration owed the affected workers be paid with immediate effect.

The Governor further ordered the State Head of Service, Camillus Chibuzor Nwagwu to integrate the affected workers into the present scheme of things within his government.

Hope Uzodinma insisted that he was committed to creating job opportunities in the state rather than deprive people of their livelihoods.

Reacting to the gesture from the Governor, Pascal Onwukaike, former chairman of the Transition Committee, Nkwerre Local Government, appreciated the Governor for continuing with projects left behind by his predecessors.

He insisted that the style of governance being exhibited by Hope Uzodinma is proof enough of his commitment to the recovery of Imo State.

In related matters, the Governor also swore in a new Chief Judge for Imo State, Justice Ijeoma Agugua and charged her with swift delivery of justice in the state.
