President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday commissioned the 36km dual-carriage way of Owerri/Orlu road in Imo State.

The Imo State Ministry of Works shared photos of the commissioning via its Facebook page.

The project is one of several executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma which President Buhari is in the state to commission.

The President arrived in the state earlier on Tuesday and was welcomed at the airport by Governor Uzodimma and other top Imo state government functionaries.

The President visited the state in spite of a sit-at-home declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Recall that the separatist group over the weekend gave a sit-at-home order across the South-East, and tagged the exercise a day of civil action.
