A community leader in Delta State identified as Etsebanghanro Ighomi, has reportedly died after his wife hit him with the sole of her shoe.
It was gathered that the incident occurred around 11 am on Saturday in Ugbuwangue community, Warri, Delta State, where Ighomi was said to be a member of the community executive committee.
According to information sourced from Ighomi’s Facebook page, he was a father of two.
The couple was said to be having a disagreement over the victim’s alleged extramarital affair when the wife picked up her high-heeled shoe and hit his head with it.
The victim was said to be sitting inside their apartment when his wife snuck up on him and hit him with the shoe.

A witness quoted by The Nation stated that the force of the blow caused Ighomi to fall to the ground and began to drool.
He was said to have died before he could be rushed to a nearby hospital.
While the suspect has been reportedly arrested by the police, spokesperson of the Delta State Police Command, Onome Onowakpoyeya, said that the police were awaiting an official complaint from the family.
