Ini Edo, a renowned Nigerian actress, recently made headlines when she revealed her decision to welcome her baby through surrogacy. Speaking candidly about her choice, Ini Edo explained the personal struggles she faced, including multiple miscarriages, which led her to consider alternative options.
“I chose surrogacy because I had experienced several miscarriages, and I simply got tired of trying.” Ini Edo shared. The actress recognized the emotional toll these losses had taken on her and decided it was time to explore other avenues to fulfill her dream of motherhood.
Without a husband in her life, Ini Edo bravely embarked on a journey to become a mother on her own terms. She contemplated her options and realized that having a child for herself, irrespective of her marital status, was a path she wanted to pursue. “What other options do I have?” she pondered. Determined to have a child biologically connected to her, Ini Edo was grateful to discover that her eggs were still viable, which gave her the green light to move forward with the surrogacy process.
In her interview, Ini Edo also opened up about her regrets regarding her past marriage. When questioned about her feelings towards settling down, she candidly admitted that it was not the right decision for her at the time. “I regretted my decision to get married because it wasn’t the right move to make,” Ini Edo confessed.
