Jasmine Okafor Breaks Silence on Controversial Relationship with Mr Ibu

Jasmine Okafor has addressed the swirling controversy surrounding her relationship with the ailing actor, John Okafor, famously known as Mr Ibu. The drama unfolded when reports surfaced of Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s son, Daniel Onyeabuchi, being arrested in Lagos over alleged fraud amounting to N55 million against the actor.

In her candid revelation, Jasmine shared the intricate dynamics of her connection with Mr Ibu, portraying him as a father figure in her life following the death of her own father, who had been a close friend to the actor. The unfolding saga sheds light on the unexpected turn of events that led to the legal troubles faced by Jasmine and Daniel.

I said I wasn’t going to talk about this issue until Mr Ibu gets back on his feet, and to God be the glory, he has been discharged and is recuperating,” Jasmine expressed in the video. She continued to provide insight into the timeline of events, recounting her departure from Nigeria in 2018 in pursuit of educational opportunities in Cyprus, where she was studying law.

Jasmine went on to reveal that in 2020, Mr Ibu, who had been a paternal figure to her, began seeking financial assistance due to his ailing health. The actor allegedly disclosed his illness and explained his absence from home, leaving his wife in Lagos while he sought medical attention in Abuja.

I didn’t want to speak, but things have gotten to a point that I have to speak up my truth,” Jasmine asserted, hinting at the complexity of the situation and the necessity of clarifying her involvement in the unfolding controversy.
