Afropop sensation, Joeboy, recently shared a shocking experience he encountered while performing in St. Lucia. According to the singer, he was prevented from performing due to an erroneous remark from his DJ.
In a post on his Instagram story, Joeboy revealed that he and his team were not given any prior memo about their choice of words during the show. Unfortunately, his DJ made an inappropriate announcement by asking the audience to “make some fucking noise” when the artist was about to make his entry. This prompted the organizers to cut off his microphone, making it impossible for him to perform.
Despite his willingness to perform, Joeboy was threatened by the security guards and almost got arrested for being adamant. In a bid to calm his disappointed fans, the artist apologized for the unfortunate incident, assuring them that he would be back next time.
In other exciting news, Joeboy’s fans can anticipate the release of his second album, “Body & Soul,” which is set to drop next week. With his previous album, “Somewhere Between Beauty & Magic,” receiving widespread acclaim, fans are eagerly anticipating what he has in store for them this time around.
