Ex-president Goodluck Jonathan’s embattled cousin, Mr. Azibaola has been remanded in prison over his involvement in a corruption case running into millions of US Dollars.

The case against the ex-president’s cousin took a new turn as the Federal High court sitting in Abuja ordered that he be remanded in prison pending the determination of his bail application.

Recall that the case against Azibaola and his wife, Stella alongside their company Oneplus Holding Limited was brought before Justice Dimgba in connection with a contract worth $40 million awarded by the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

The couple alongside their company were arraigned before the court in a seven count charge of fraud and money laundering.

However, the court ruled that Mr. Azibaola’s wife, Stella could continue on the administrative bail granted earlier by the anti-graft agency, EFCC.
