The Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose has called for the probe of Justice Okon Abang whom he described as “a cancer that is capable of destroying the entire judiciary in Nigeria if nothing is done to curb his excesses.”
Ayodele Fayose’s call was maade known in a statement released by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, on Wednesday in which he applauded the president Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for appointing Justice Walter Onnoghen as the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN.
Ayodele Fayose in the statement noted that judges like Abang who according to the Court of Appeal gave fraudulent judgements were not the right blend for the country. He noted that such judges who spoke from both sides of their mouth and act like Father Christmas should not be allowed into the nation’s judicial setting.
Fayose in the statement added: “Therefore, I insist that the CJN should wade into Justice Abang’s fraudulent judgments with a view to showing him the way out of the bench so that our judiciary can redeem its image,”
