Juventus Go Second With Seventh Win In Row

1 Min Read

Juventus claimed another three points in their quest to secure another successive Scudetto on Sunday, coming from behind against Carpi to run out 3-2 winners.

In late October, the Turin side were 11 points off the top, but they are now within three points of leaders Inter Milan, who play Lazio later on Sunday.

Serie A debutants Carpi led through Marco Borriello but Mario Mandzukic volleyed Juve level and then headed home Patrice Evra’s cross.

Paul Pogba added a third before Leonardo Bonucci’s late own goal.

And after Bonucci put the ball into his own net in injury time, Lorenzo Lollo wasted a chance to rescue a surprise draw with a weak effort with the last kick.

Juventus, who were 12th when they lost to Sassuolo on 28 October, are up to second for at least two hours.
